This training covers the following mandates:
Crisis Intervention 5.00 hours
De-escalation Techniques 24.00 + 19.50 Scenario hours
Emergency Medical Response Training & Certification 1.00 hours
Student Required Equipment:
Patrol Ballistic Patrol Vest
Glock 17T or Converted marking round capable training pistol
Patrol Rifle w/Sling, Light & Chamber Blocking Device.
Patrol Rifle Drop in Bolt Conversion, or a dedicated marking round converted rifle
Protective Impact Resistant Wrap-Around Safety Glasses
Handheld Ballistic Shield – If Available
12 Gauge LL Shotgun – If Available
37mm and/or 40mm LL Delivery system if your department patrol division issues them
Training Taser with a training cartridge– if your department has one
Water / Sport Drinks to Maintain Hydration
50 Marking Pistol Training Rounds.
50 Marking Rifle Training Rounds.
Door Tie Off Equipment – if your department has some
LUNCH: Due to the complexities of the safety protocols and logistics – lunch each day will be on-site. Students will be responsible for bringing their own lunches each day.
The course requires every attendee to be equipped with a converted patrol rifle and pistol that shoot marking cartridges. A limited supply of converted pistols and AR15 drop in bolts will be available for those that do not have their own converted weapons. Officers are required to have converted weapons and supply their own marking ammunition. Officers must have a minimum of 50 rifle marking rounds and 50 pistol rounds (any color
To Register: Email registration to register@letac.org. You may also fill out and submit our online registration form through the website at www.letac.org or call 217-726-7014 to register by phone (be sure to include all pertinent information). MTU #10 local member department officers will be given registration preference until seven days prior to the date of class. After that date, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of MTU status. We cannot accept registrations from individual officers. All registrations must go through your Chief, Sheriff, or department training office, even if you are attending class on your own time.
Cancellation: If a class must be canceled for any reason, every effort will be made to do so at least 2 weeks before the class is scheduled to begin. However, there are circumstances where last minute cancellation is out of our control. All officers who have been registered for training will be contacted at the email address given at registration, so please be sure to provide an email address which is checked often
