Active Threat Response 16.00 + 12.00hrs Scenario hours
Constitutional Use of LE Authority 1.00 hours
Emergency Medical Response Training & Certification 1.00 hours
Law Concerning Stops, Searches, and the Use of Force 2.00 + 2.00hrs Scenario hours
Officer Safety Techniques, Including Cover, Concealment, and Time 12.00 + 10.00hrs Scenario hours
COURSE OVERVIEW: This two-day, 16-hour course is designed to teach the officers the Multiple Assault Counter Terrorist Action Capabilities (MACTAC). The focus of this program will be to provide officers with knowledge, specialized tactical skills, and associated printed materials they will need to become familiar with and perform MACTAC/Urban Tactic Skill Set.

COURSE TOPICS: MACTAC is a swift and immediate deployment of law enforcement resources to an active threat/terrorist attack, which may include multiple, simultaneous attacks. These situations require immediate action and the rapid deployment of patrol officers. These incidents may also necessitate the immediate and rapid deployment of patrol personnel to contain and prevent the escape of an armed and dangerous offender or, rescue a downed officer and/or civilian.

Topics addressed will include:
Team Formation* Integrated Tactics: first responders, contact, and rescue teams* Urban tactical operations and movement formations* Use of force and safety priorities* Equipment and identification requirements* Explosive devices* integration of multiple agency responses* Verbal Skills* Deployment and firearms handling

You may also fill out and submit our online registration form through the website at www.letac.org or call 217-726-7014 to register by phone (be sure to include all pertinent information). MTU #10 local member department officers will be given registration preference until seven days prior to the date of class. After that date, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of MTU status. We cannot accept registrations from individual officers. All registrations must go through your Chief, Sheriff, or department training office, even if you are attending class on your own time.

Cancellation: If a class must be canceled for any reason, every effort will be made to do so at least 2 weeks before the class is scheduled to begin. However, there are circumstances where last minute cancellation is out of our control. All officers who have been registered for training will be contacted at the email address given at registration, so please be sure to provide an email address which is checked often
