This training covers the following mandates:
Active Threat Response 8.00 + 5.50hrs scenario hours
Civil Rights 1.00 hours
De-escalation Techniques 0.50 + 0.50hrs scenario hours
Law Concerning Stops, Searches, and the Use of Force 1.00 + 0.50hrs scenario hours
Officer Safety Techniques, Including Cover, Concealment, and Time 5.50 + 4.50hrs scenario hours
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Solo Officer Response is a must for all officers so that they may acquire the skills needed to safely and effectively perform a rapid deployment/immediate action to stop an ongoing active threat.
COURSE CONTENT: *To provide students with an understanding of law enforcement authority & use of force laws. *Identify & discuss theories & concepts of CQB & building search techniques *To familiarize students with hallway movements, room clearing & scanning techniques, and the use of cover and concealment, and communication skills with officers, victims, and suspects, and demonstrate proper weapons control techniques *To identify and discuss use of force & safety priority issues related to rapid deployment/immediate action incidents, including immediate defense of life, law, police procedure, and establish safety priorities *To provide students with an inventory of appropriate equipment to be used when conducting these types of operations, including issues related to weapon & ammunition selection, and uniform and identification requirements *Their ability to perform building searching/room clearing operational skills sets.

You may also fill out and submit our online registration form through the website at www.letac.org or call 217-726-7014 to register by phone (be sure to include all pertinent information). MTU #10 local member department officers will be given registration preference until seven days prior to the date of class. After that date, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of MTU status. We cannot accept registrations from individual officers. All registrations must go through your Chief, Sheriff, or department training office, even if you are attending class on your own time.
Cancellation: If a class must be canceled for any reason, every effort will be made to do so at least 2 weeks before the class is scheduled to begin. However, there are circumstances where last minute cancellation is out of our control. All officers who have been registered for training will be contacted at the email address given at registration, so please be sure to provide an email address which is checked often
