The Tactical Patrol Officer course is designed to train officers in the fundamental and tactical skill sets required when conducting searches, room clearing, high risk traffic stops, rapid deployment, solo officer response, rescue task force and urban tactics. The focus of this program will be to provide officers with knowledge, specialized tactical skill sets, and strategic understanding to perform these tactical patrol operations.

Training Content for Phase I of the TPO Comprehensive Class:
*Introduction and orientation *Safety inspection, safety briefing tactical pistol & rifle operational skill sets *Custody/arrest team tactics *CQB / hallway movements & room entries *Rapid deployment of active threat situations *Solo officer response to active threat situation *Rapid deployment scenarios

Equipment Needed:

Some Do's & Don'ts for Registration.
*Officers must sign up for Phase I and Phase II individually; they are two separate classes.
*Officers only receive their training certificate after completing BOTH Phase I and Phase II.
*Because officers have the option of two dates for each phase, they must register for each separately.
*Only those officers that have signed up/completed Phase I can attend Phase II.
*If an officer signs up for Phase I and Phase II but fails to attend Phase I, they will be removed from the roster of the Phase II class
